Spring is heading towards Dartmoor

Whilst it is still mostly cold and grey up here, there are some signs that Spring is on the way. The snowdrops are flowering in the hedgerows and some early primroses are out too. Down by the Dart the wild daffodils are up, though it will several weeks before they are anywhere near flowering yet.

Up on the tops the pregnant ponies are getting very bulgy and down by the river the mallards on the lilypond have paired up and are doing a lot of swimming a deux – duck love is in the air!
